Happy Wednesday one and all.
The Arizona Cardinals made the call, paid Jacoby Brissett a little bit, and now have their starting quarterback in the fold.
Now the question becomes, how many games do you think the Arizona Cardinals paid for?
I think it will be an interesting situation
to watch.
Last year Brissett was 1-11.
The year before that he was 1-4.
In fact, in his career, Jacoby Brissett has never had a winning record as a starter, and his best two seasons record wise was 7-8 in 2019 ad then 2-3 in 2021.
So, is this the year that he gets back to being a near .500 quarterback, or will the trend of struggling to win games with Brissett at quarterback continue?
That really leads to this question, how many games do you think Brissett starts?
No matter the stats, the wins have to come at some point to continue to roll him out there, right?
So, does Brissett get the enough wins to get through four games? I personally think it would have to be catastrophically bad for him not to start at least four games this season.
Will it be in the 5-8 range? Where he does enough to warrant starts, but the wins just don’t follow so now they have to move on?
Will he get them into the 9-14 range where they are maybe winning three to six games, but they are out of the playoffs and then they see what Carson Beck has?
Or, barring maybe an injury keeping him out a week or so, will he get to 15+ starts (what I consider a full season in today’s league)?
I think we will see Brissett start between 5-8 games, and then it will be a couple games of Minshew and then Beck to close things out, but I would love to hear what others think.
