Oregon coach Dana Altman and Gonzaga coach Mark Few decided to extend their school’s series over a beer at the 2025 Final Four in San Antonio, Texas, according to Spokesman-Review’s Theo Lawson.
After the
matchup on Dec. 21 at the Moda Center in Portland, Oregon, the two programs plan to meet at the Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, Washington, either during the 2026-27 or 2027-28 non-conference.
The Zags’ all-time record against coach Mark Few’s alma mater is 4-19. Gonzaga did have the last laugh as they beat Oregon in the 2019 Battle 4 Atlantis semifinals in the Bahamas, 73-72 in overtime. Filip Petrusev finished with a double-double (22 points, 15 rebounds) in the victory.
The Pacific Northwest thanks Altman and Few for making this happen. The Zags and Ducks are a must-watch matchup.
