A whirlwind of a week in Knoxville culminates with a football game tonight in Lexington. The Tony Vitello news dominated headlines this week on the baseball side, but now it’s back to the gridiron. Tennessee is in a must-win spot tonight against Kentucky, needing to take care of business to stay alive in the College Football Playoff race.
The Volunteers, of course, took their second loss last weekend at Alabama. 17th ranked Tennessee now heads north to Lexington for what’s seemingly always a tricky
road game.
Kentucky has been tough at home, hanging around with both Texas and Ole Miss. Offensive issues have plagued the Wildcats though, keeping a Mark Stoops trend going. Kentucky ranks just 103rd nationally in total offense while Tennessee ranks fifth.
Can the Wildcats score enough to keep up with Tennessee? That will be the key tonight in Lexington.
