The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed veteran safety Darnell Savage, per Aaron Wilson.
It had been reported that the two sides were in agreement on a deal back in March, but the two sides have now finally made the signing official.
Savage was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft out of Maryland. He picked off nine passes in his five years with the Packers and signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2024, spending one full season in Duval. He appeared in games for
the Jaguars, Washington Commanders, and Buffalo Bills in 2025.
Savage now joins a safety room consisting of DeShaun Elliott, Jaquan Brisker, potentially Jalen Ramsey, and Sebastian Castro, and Robert Spears-Jennings.
