What is the story about?
Last night was a rough one for Guardians fans.
Two absolutely inexplicable bunts. Two pop up outs on those bunts.
Stephen Vogt not recognizing that although Messick’s pitch count was low, he was running on fumes. Then, Stephen Vogt sticking with a still rusty Sabrowski to face a lefty masher. One of those games that reminds me that Vogt is still inexperienced. And makes me pray he is learning something from all this.
Mainly, that giving the other team free outs doesn’t help an offense that is struggling.
And this offense is struggling. I am sure Jacob deGrom will cure what ails it tonight!
At least this hellish June is over tonight.
