One of the top tight ends in the transfer portal is officially heading to Happy Valley.
Former Iowa State tight end Benjamin Brahmer announced today that he’s reuniting with Matt Campbell at Penn State.
He has one year of NCAA eligibility remaining.
Brahmer had a monster junior year in 2025 after his sophomore year was cut short due to an injury. He caught 37 passes for 446 yards and six touchdowns and was Rocco Becht’s favorite pass-catching target. Becht has not yet announced his destination in the transfer portal but is projected to join Brahmer in Happy Valley.
Brahmer will join a Penn State tight end room that lost Luke Reynolds but will retain Andrew Rappleyea, creating an enticing one-two punch for Taylor Mouser, who runs a TE-heavy offense. The Nittany Lions will certainly also hope to retain sophomore Andrew Olesh, who was Pennsylvania’s top recruit in 2025.
The tight end is a Nebraska native and was rated as a three-star coming out of high school in 2023.
