The results of the weekly survey in and before we head to today’s football game against Ohio State it’s going to be time to go on the record with your predictions for the game. Be prepared for single digits!
Also, Purdue basketball is now 2-0 without the aid of All-American TKR who has been sidelined with a hip issue. Purdue’s victory over Oakland was not that impressive for most readers and so perhaps these results would be different if you all had an extra day to cast your vote, but for now we’ve got results prior to the Oakland game. Would that change anything? I’m not sure, but it’s what we’ve got.
First, let’s look at basketball shall we? I thought this was a fun way to ask which of the choices was most likely to happen. A good gauge of expectations perhaps?
I think it makes sense that the plurality of respondents chose winning the Big Ten because that truly does seem to be the most likely thing to happen. But, there is tough competition in the conference this year with Michigan breathing down Purdue’s necks. They did take down Oakland quite handily earlier this week…
Then we switch gears and look at Purdue football’s game against Ohio State that kicks off in about 6.5 hours. Yes, I’m up at 6:24 on a Saturday. Well, I was actually up at 5:00 to go run but hey who’s bragging here?
As I said, prepare for the single digits. Somehow, there are 9% of respondents who think Purdue will find a way to upset Ohio State. If that happens despite me watching from the press box I will make my way down to the field when it is e=inevitably rushed. See you down on Ross-Ade’s grass folks!
