Dana White wants you to know that Mark Zuckerberg could kick your ass.
That’s the main thrust of a recent rant delivered by the UFC CEO on The Skinny Confidential podcast, where he pontificated for 74 minutes
on a variety of topics like how he’s not political at all and believes protesting is the dumbest thing anyone can do.
He put some new twists on the greatest hits, like ‘Power Slap did bigger numbers than college football and Dodgers playoff games.’ And now he’s dropping a new talking point his buddy and business partner Mark Zuckerberg will love: ‘Zuck is a total badass, actually.’
“People talk s–t about Zuckerberg,” White said. “Zuckerberg is actually a great athlete. He trains in MMA. He surfs. He does all this s–t. Everybody, Zuckerberg will beat the s–t out of you. Okay? Everybody thinks he’s some computer nerd. Mark Zuckerberg will beat the living s–t out of you.”
We give the Zuck some credit for spending some of his money and time on private classes with top level BJJ guys. He’s showed up at some tournaments, earned some questionable wins, and recently upped his cred by blowing out his knee, which is a rite of passage for serious martial artists.
We also appreciated how Zuckerberg was ready to embarrass Elon Musk in a cage match that almost came together in 2023. When asked if White’s ‘Zuck will beat you up’ statement extended to Musk, the UFC CEO pivoted to building the Tesla billionaire up.
“Listen, Elon is is much older and weighs more,” White said. “The thing with Elon too that we found out during the promotion of that fight was he grew up doing judo. So he’s a judo guy. So that whole thing was fascinating. That was fun too. A fun moment in my career.”
“Conor McGregor vs. Floyd Mayweather when we traveled and did the press conferences in all the different cities around the world. Incredible, fun period of my career. But promoting the Elon Musk vs. Mark Zuckerberg fight and trying to put that thing together was a lot of fun too.”
Musk vs. Zuckerberg fell apart after Elon said a back injury would keep him from competing. As for Mark, he’s still contemplating a fight against someone, anyone … maybe you, tough guy!
“The moral of the story is all of you telephone tough guys and internet tough guys that talk s–t about Mark Zuckerberg?” White concluded. “Zuckerberg will beat the s–t out of every one of you. Just for the record.”
