The Green Bay Packers didn’t have a first-round pick on Thursday, as they spent what ended up being the 20th overall pick in the 2026 draft on their trade for edge rusher Micah Parsons, so you might not have been as locked into Day 1 of the draft as a usual year. If that sounds like you, here’s your primer on the players who are still available after Thursday’s action.
For the most part, Day 1 of the draft was pretty chalk, at least in terms of the players who were drafted. The only players ranked
outside of the top 32 on the consensus draft board who heard their names called on Thursday were cornerback Chris Johnson (#35), edge rusher Malachi Lawrence (#37), running back Jadarian Price (#43), defensive tackle Caleb Banks (#44) and guard Keylan Rutledge (#51).
As of now, only five top-32 players are still available going into Friday. He’s a full breakdown of all of the potential “value picks” the Packers could make when they are on the clock at #52 overall.

Notably, Jermod McCoy of Tennessee, who some consider to be the best cornerback in the 2026 draft class, is falling due to a medical concern. According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, McCoy needs “surgery to replace a bone plug” in his knee, viewed as a similar issue that Michigan cornerback Will Johnson faced last offseason. Johnson, who was ranked the 13th overall prospect in the draft in 2025, was ultimately picked 47th overall by the Arizona Cardinals.
One of the Packers’ 30 pre-draft visitors, Arizona State tackle Max Iheanachor, was picked 21st overall by the Pittsburgh Steelers. Beyond Iheanachor, here are the highest-ranked visitors that Green Bay has brought in this cycle:
- #46: Christen Miller, iDL, Georgia
- #55: Lee Hunter, iDL, Texas Tech
- #47: Chris Brazzell, WR, Tennessee
- #59: A.J. Haulcy, S, LSU
- #63; Mike Washington Jr., RB, Arkansas
- #73: Ted Hurst, WR, Georgia State
- #77: Romello Height, EDGE, Texas Tech
- #117: Kaleb Proctor, iDL, Southeastern Louisiana
- #123: Will Lee III, CB, Texas A&M
The Packers target pre-draft visitors at a high rate, so don’t be surprised if they pick one (or two) on Friday.
