Indiana football beat Miami 27-21 on Monday night at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida.
Here are three takeaways from the game:
The Indiana Hoosiers
The Indiana Hoosiers are a college football team. They play their
games at Memorial Stadium in Bloomington, Indiana. It wasn’t a fully unclosed stadium until Barack Obama was in the White House. Indiana had more losses than anyone else in the history of college football until being passed this year by fellow Big Ten program Northwestern.
The National Championship
The National Championship is a game played annually to determine the best team in college football. The team that wins it gets a trophy. It used to be a neat crystal football. It still is that neat crystal football, it’s just that there’s a new trophy now too. It’s the College Football Playoff trophy. College football has a playoff and has for about a decade now. It’s big and gold.
The Indiana Hoosiers won the National Championship
The Indiana Hoosiers won the College Football Playoff National Championship Game, which is aforementioned game against Miami. They get to take home that big gold trophy. That crystal one too, I think.
