AEW and New Japan Pro-Wrestling’s big Forbidden Door London pay-per-view (PPV) is in the books. Sun., Aug. 24’s show from the O2 Arena closed with Death Riders shut down Will Ospreay’s post-victory goodbye to his fellow Englanders to send Bruv off the neck surgery on a back board.
Those moments wrapped up an event that, including the 90 minute-long Zero Hour pre-show, featured 13 total matches. Only one title changed hands out of the eight championship matches on the card, but we saw lots of great
in-ring action — including in the Lights Out Steel Cage main event that preceded disaster, and from Kyle Fletcher and Hiromu Takahashi, Zack Sabre Jr. and Nigel McGuinness, and pretty much every match on the card.
That was just some of what happened at Forbidden Door London — which means Tony Khan and the stars of All Elite Wrestling (and NJPW and maybe even CMLL) should have plenty to talk about at the media scrum kicking off right about now.
So click play up above and get ready for reactions to an eventful Forbidden Door London. The scrum will also likely include some fun in-character work, comments on recent AEW-related news & rumors, some hints of what’s to come for the company & its partners, and who knows what else. These things do have a history of being pretty eventful…
