What’s going on with Jordynne Grace’s extended absence from WWE? Let’s see what today’s rumors have to say about it!
Top rumor of the day:
On the latest episode of Fightful’s The Hump, Sean Ross Sapp elaborated on what he knows about Jordynne Grace and Ivy Nile’s current situation with WWE.
Sapp says there were “creative vignettes” filmed with Grace and Nile this summer, with a plan to repackage them as a new team and bring them back to WWE programming towards the end of September. The idea was to have them join the women’s
tag team division under the name Iron Built, which is a phrase that WWE trademarked last month. It sounds like the main reason why WWE wanted to put Grace and Nile together is because “they don’t have any tag teams.”
However, Ivy’s WWE contract was set to expire at the start of October. The latest Sapp heard is that Nile is still on the roster, which suggests she has signed a new deal with the company. Meanwhile, Grace is still under contract with WWE. Her deal runs into 2029 and is for “above the main roster minimum” pay.
So, while it’s not clear why Grace and Nile are both missing from WWE programming right now or what exactly happened to plans for their new team, it doesn’t appear to be related to the status of their contracts with WWE.

- While discussing the Hurt Syndicate’s absence from AEW on The Hump, Sapp noted there have ”definitely been some situations” where they didn’t want to put over other wrestlers in AEW. His co-host Jon Alba said, “I don’t think you’re gonna be seeing the Hurt Syndicate any time soon.”
- Even though there is a viral marketing campaign for Toni Storm’s return to AEW, Sapp mentioned that she won’t be back “in the ring” until “2027 at the earliest.”
- On the Talk’N Shop podcast, Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows said there was an episode of Raw where they were supposed to pin world champion Seth Rollins, but the finish was changed to Seth winning after Rollins spoke to Vince McMahon about it. The Good Bros told this story not to bury their friend Rollins, but to point out that last minute booking changes like this simply don’t happen in NJPW.
- PW Insider confirmed that new X-Division Champion Amazing Red has signed a contract with TNA.
