Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has been happy to give youth a chance at the club since taking over as coach and will continue to do so next season.
According to Diario Sport, the German coach wants to give first-team chances to Xavi Espart and Tommy Marques in the 2026-27 campaign.
Flick has already handed Espart his first-team debut this season against Newcastle in the Champions League. The youngster was understandably thrilled and was full of praise for his manager afterwards.
Barca’s boss has also
been willing to talk up Espart this season, likening him to Bayern and Germany legend Philipp Lahm. High praise indeed.
Marques has also debuted this season under Flick. He featured in the 3-0 win over Real Mallorca earlier this year and reports have already suggested Flick has told the midfielder he will be part of the first-team squad next season.
The two players could also get some chances at the end of this season, if Barca wrap up the title with games to spare.
