Francis ‘Sisi’ Mauigoa, the guard selected No. 10 overall by the New York Giants in the 2026 NFL Draft, has received the Brian Baldinger seal of approval.
Baldinger, an NFL analyst and former player known for his ‘Baldy’s Breakdowns’ of players, believes Mauigoa can be a “great guard.”
Baldinger said Mauigoa was “well-coached” at Miami and has “real power” in his game.
“He’s got excellent power at the point of attack,” Baldinger said in a video for the Giants’ YouTube channel. “He looks like he could
be a better guard than a tackle.
“He really looks like he could be a great guard … He’s going to move the line of scrimmage with his power.”
The Giants, of course, are going to play Mauigoa at right guard.
When I spoke to former Giant Jon Feliciano, who worked with Mauigoa before the draft, Feliciano expressed a similary opinion.
“I don’t think he’s moving again,” Feliciano said. “I think he’s going to be their guard for the next, at least, four years.
“I think he’s going to be, eventually, an elite guard. I think he’ll have a really good year this year. But I don’t see him moving again.”
