After trading out of the second round, the Denver Broncos stood pat with their third-round pick in the 2026 NFL draft and selected Texas A&M defensive tackle Tyler Onyedim
with the 66th overall selection. With most fans expecting a move at inside linebacker or tight end, those players flew off the board ahead of Denver’s second round pick. That triggered a trade back to accumulate a sixth round pick. They decided to go with elite traits over production.
While the stats did not fly off the sheet in his time, you can see from the various highlights below that Tyler Onyedim has some explosiveness to his play style and with the right coaching he will be a factor in Vance Joseph’s defense.
This is a pick doesn’t attack the needs list for us fans, but defensive lineman was noted as a sneaky option for Denver with their first pick in this draft. I’m happy with it and can’t wait to see how he fits into the defensive line rotation next season.
