Duke had another tough road game at South Florida Thursday, where the Blue Devils lost, 85-72. This follows the loss to Baylor in Paris and the fiasco against West Virginia this past Friday, where starter Jordan Wood taunted a West Virginia defender just before halftime which led to all of the Mountaineers who were on the bench being ejected, and WVU winning with just five players available for the second half.
Wood sat out the next ga/me against Liberty but played at South Florida, coming off the bench.
She didn’t score, missing all four attempts, and fouled out in 19 minutes.
Duke didn’t shoot well collectively either, hitting 4-17 threes (24%) and 25-68 (37%) overall.
On the bright side, Duke did force 22 turnovers, but it wasn’t nearly enough.
With the loss, Duke falls to 3-3 and will next play powerhouse South Carolina in the Players Era Women’s Championship in Las Vegas.
