Jordan Jackson was a 6th round pick of the Saints in the 2022 draft after playing his college ball at the Air Force Academy. The 28 year-old defensive lineman was signed to a reserves/future contract by the Broncos in early 2023. Jordan failed to make the team during training camp, but he was signed the practice squad in 2023 and then played in 17 games for the Broncos in 2024, and five games in 2025. The 6-4, 294 lb defensive end/tackle has played 395 defensive snaps in his career (most in 2024)
and has 24 combined tackles (7 solo), 1 TFL 2 QBhits, 1 FF, and one sack.
He is a decent run stopper, but he is terrible as a pass rusher. In 186 career pass rushes he has 9 pressures. That’s 4.8%. If Jackson had done that this year, it would have been one of the worst pressure rates in the NFL. Minimum 200 pass rushes, the worst pressure rate in the NFL among DT/DE guys was Harrison Phillips at 2.6%. The worst on the Broncos in 2025 was Sai’vion Jones, but he only had 25 pass rush snaps (and one pressure) – 4.0%. Jordan had two pressures on 47 pass rush snaps in 2025 – 4.8%. John Franklin-Myers and Zach Allen were both at 13.2% last season or three times as effective as Jackson or S. Jones. Eyioma Uwazurike was also not very good at rushing the passer in 2025. He only had 10 pressures on 201 pass rush snaps – 5.2%.
The departure of JFM leaves a hole on the DL, but Jackson does not appear to have the skillset to fill that hole. That would most likely be the first player taken by the Broncos in the 2026 draft, Tyler Onyedim. Malcolm Roach will also play a greater role in 2026 relative to 2025, if he is healthy. Roach had a career high in sacks last season with four, but he only had seven pressures.
I would expect Jackson to get cut in training camp and then make the practice squad, but he a below average defensive end that the Broncos could easily replace with a street free agent if need be.
