Happy Cougar Football Saturday, everybody!
Tonight, your Washington State Cougars host the Arizona Wildcats in a big primetime non-conference matchup in Pullman.
Kickoff is set for 4:30pm and will be broadcasted nationally on CBS.
The Cougars are coming off their first win of the season after they defeated the Duquesne Dukes last week 48-7. Despite a slow start, WSU scored 34 second-half points to quickly separate themselves from FCS Duquesne. Ariona, meanwhile, has started a modest 2-1. They defeated Northern
Arizona in Week 1, 35-7, before losing their first Big 12 game of the year to the BYU Cougars, 28-17 on the road. They returned home last week and made quick work of Norther Illinois, defeating them 42-17. This will be the final non-conference game for both teams.
The weather in Pullman should be a little chilly for September, sitting around 59 degrees at kickoff, but the skies should remain clear. The crowd figures to be one of the best of the season for WSU with the students out in full force and many alumni returning back home.
