Bayern Munich veteran Raphaël Guerreiro was able to come on in the second half to get some playing time, which will be increasingly more difficult to come by as the season goes on, but a freak occurrence left Guerreiro in pain and needing to be subbed off in the 63rd minute.
It was a brief showing that was cut short due to a rib injury per Bayern Munich boss Vincent Kompany.
“Rapha felt something in his ribs. He immediately went to the MRI, we’ll know later what he has. Hopefully it’s nothing serious,”
Kompany stated (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
Guerreiro’s role on the team could lessen as the season goes on. For his sake, hopefully this is a minor ailment to deal with.
Bayern Munich returned to action in the Bundesliga by hosting Hamburger SV and just crushed the visitors.
