The caption mentions Duncan watching Elijah Williams and TMI Episcopal take on Millennium High School. What the caption doesn’t mention is that
Tim Duncan’s son Draven also plays for the TMI Panthers.
The younster featured in the video, Elijah Williams, is the son of Monty Williams.
Monty Williams played for the Spurs from 1996-1998 and then returned the San Antonio as an intern to the coaching staff. He was working with the Spurs when they won their 2005 championship, which featured a superstar named Tim Duncan. You starting to see some of the connections here?
He has been the head coach of TMI Episcopal since 2024. His eldest son, Elijah, is a senior for the Panthers and recently signed with Baylor. Draven Duncan is also a senior.
Elijah’s younger brother, Micah, also plays basketball under his father at TMI.
The TMI Panthers also came out to the Frost Bank Center as Mitch Johnson hosted the 2025 Spurs Coaches Clinic that took place last October before the Silver & Black Scrimmage. Makes sense considering their multiple ties to the Spurs.
