The DFB-Pokal Round of 16 is officially taking shape, and Bayern Munich is safely through after dismantling FC Magdeburg 6-1 to book their place in the next round.
After years of frustrating early exits and painful near-misses in this competition, Bayern will be desperate to turn their domestic cup campaign into something special. Vincent Kompany’s side has already shown plenty of firepower this season, and the emphatic victory over Magdeburg was another reminder of just how dangerous this team can
be when it finds its rhythm.
Of course, the road to Berlin will not get any easier from here.
