Raphinha has emerged as a doubt for Barcelona’s clash against Real Sociedad on Sunday in La Liga after missing training ahead of the game.
The Brazilian was a noticeable absentee from Saturday’s session
and still seems to be carrying a knock that saw him play through the pain barrier at the Spanish Super Cup.
Hansi Flick was asked about Raphinha’s fitness ahead of the game and admits he’s not sure yet if he will feature against Real Sociedad.
“Yes, he’s having problems after a knock, and we’ll see what we decide and whether he plays or rests tomorrow,“ he told reporters.
Barcelona head into the game on a run of 11 straight wins in all competitions, but Flick has warned his players against complacency ahead of the game.
“That’s what I told the players before the Racing match. Success isn’t guaranteed. It’s earned every day. Against Racing, against Real Sociedad, in every training session.
“Attitude and mentality are what lead us to victory, and that’s what we must maintain and give our all to our fans, because that’s what they want.
“The Racing match wasn’t easy. We arrived two hours early, then there was a 15-minute delay, and we adapted to the circumstances. That’s what we have to do to satisfy our fans.”
