Already down A.J. Brown and TreVeyon Henderson, there was uncertainty surrounding another key member of the New England Patriots’ offense heading into Sunday’s game against the Green Bay Packers: tight end Hunter Henry entered the weekend listed as questionable on the injury report due to a foot injury he sustained last week in Miami.
However, New England’s inactives list released 90 minutes before kickoff did not have the team captain listed among the five players ruled out. While it remains to be seen
how involved Henry will be after participating in only one practice this week, his availability in itself is a positive.
As for the other four players on the inactives list, they look like this:
Patriots inactives
- QB3 Behren Morton
- RB TreVeyon Henderson
- WR A.J. Brown
- OT Dametrious Crownover
- CB Charles Woods
As noted above, TreVeyon Henderson (illness) and A.J. Brown (knee) were already ruled out on Friday. Joining them on the sidelines on Sunday is a late addition to the injury report: No. 4 cornerback Charles Woods was added as questionable with a hamstring injury less than an hour before inactives were due.
The two other inactives are both healthy scratches: Behren Morton is the team’s third quarterback, rookie Dametrious Crownover an emergency option at offensive tackle.
This also means that only one of the Patriots’ seven original questionables is not good to go: interior offensive lineman Greg Van Roten, who remains on injured reserve after returning to practice on Wednesday. The others, a group including not just Henry but also wide receiver Mack Hollins (calf), right tackle Morgan Moses (foot), cornerback Carlton Davis III (neck), and safeties Kevin Byard III (chest) and Brenden Schooler (hamstring), have been given the green light.
Packers inactives
- RB MarShawn Lloyd
- C Sean Rhyan
- TE Josh Whyle
- OL Travis Glover
- OL Donovan Jennings
- LB Zaire Franklin
The Packers had already ruled out four of their inactives before their trip to Foxborough, including starters Sean Rhyan (ankle), Travis Glover (knee) and Zaire Franklin (shin). No. 2 running back Marshawn Lloyd (knee) has now been added to the list.
Kickoff between the Patriots and Packers at Gillette Stadium is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET.
