Arman Tsarukyan is finally getting his title shot after screwing himself at UFC 311.
Unfortunately, it’s the Middleweight Crossover Championship for Real American Freestyle (RAF). Tsarukyan will tangle with combat sports clown Dillon Danis, who somehow continues to get work. Their title fight will join the RAF 14 lineup on Oct. 3 at BleauLive Theater inside Fontainebleau in Las Vegas, Nevada.
I know the “crossover” title is meaningless but I find it amusing that both combatants qualify for a championship
coming off losses. Tsarukyan was recently outwrestled by Colby Covington at RAF 11 while Danis was steamrolled by Khamzat Chimaev a few weeks prior at RAF 10.
This contest will also depend on what happens to Tsarukyan at UFC 331 next month in Los Angeles. “Ahalkalakets” (23-3) is fighting Mauricio Ruffy for the next crack at the 155-pound crown, currently held by Justin Gaethje.
No other bouts have been announced for RAF 14 but you can expect new matchups to start trickling in over the next few days.
