Bobby Hauck is out after four games
Illinois defensive coordinator Bobby Hauck is departing the program after just four games. Hauck and Bret Bielema mutually agreed Sunday that a change in leadership was in the best interest of the defense. The move comes one day after Illinois allowed 42 points in a loss to No. 7 Ohio State.
🏈 Purdue awaits
The Illini now turn their attention to Purdue for Homecoming. Illinois and the Boilermakers will meet Saturday at 3:15
p.m. CT at Gies Memorial Stadium. FanDuel opened Illinois as a 9.5-point favorite with an over/under of 59.5.
⚽ Soccer bounces back
Illinois soccer picked up a much-needed Big Ten win Sunday, shutting out Oregon 2-0 at Demirjian Park on Senior Day. Gabriella Garcia-Terrell and Ashleigh Vizek scored less than three minutes apart in the second half, while Izzy Lee made six saves to preserve the clean sheet.
🏐 Volleyball keeps rolling
Illinois volleyball swept No. 23 USC, 3-0, on Saturday night at Huff Hall. The Illini have won six straight and are now 10-3 overall and 2-0 in Big Ten play.
