The Las Vegas Raiders opened the 2026 season with a 27-13 victory at home over the Miami Dolphins.
While it was an overall strong opening effort, perhaps the team’s most questioned unit, the wide receiver group, didn’t have a great day as the top four receiver combined for nine catches for 83 yards and a touchdown.
Let’s look at them all:
Tre Tucker
The fourth-year player led all Las Vegas receivers with 48 snaps (70 percent of the offensive plays). He had two catches on four targets for 27 yards. He didn’t
play less than 88 percent of the snaps in any game last season and he averaged playing 94.9 of the snaps last season. Tucker’s biggest issue in his career has been producing consistently.
Jalen Nailor
The free-agent addition played 41 snaps (60 percent). He had three catches for 27 yards on five targets. Nailor averaged 65 percent of the snaps in Minnesota last season when he had 29 receptions.
Jack Bech
The 2025 second-round pick played 27 snaps (39.9 percent) Sunday. He had three catches for 23 yards on four targets and he had a touchdown, the first of his career. He played a higher snap count average in eight of the 16 games he played as a rookie than Sunday’s total.
Malik Benson
The rookie sixth-round pick played just seven offensive snaps (10 percent). He had one catch for six yards on two targets. It will be interesting to see if his role grows in upcoming weeks.
Conclusion:
The four receivers didn’t produced much and they were targets a total of 15 times, which isn’t a ton. There are lot of factors that go in a game plan and the Raiders’ running game was clocking. Yet, with star tight end Brock Bowers out in Week 1, more was expected from the Raiders’ receivers. Regardless, NFL teams need more production from their receivers, so this will be something to watch Sunday at the Chargers and beyond.
