In the last matchday before the international break, most Bayern loanees struggled. Nübel was perhaps the only brightspot in his man of the match performance and shutout against Gladbach. Take a look at the results and performances of all the loanees and look for a mention of their call ups if they will be playing with their national teams this coming weekend.
FC Bayern Munich
There are nine players from on loan from the first team.
Germany – Bundesliga
There are four players on loan to the German Bundesliga: Alexander Nübel, Arijon Ibrahimovic,
Daniel Peretz, and Armando Sieb.
Alexander Nübel – VfB Stuttgart
Nübel has been known in the past seasons for recording a win — or even a clean sheet — without recording a save. On Saturday, he earned a shutout while recording six saves. He also played a ball to teammate that directly led to a shot. With his saves and other defensive stats, he earned the man of the match on several sites. A 79th minute goal from the substitute, Andres, gave Stuttgart a 1-0 win over Borussia Mönchengladbach.
Nübel was called into the German national team for their World Cup Qualifiers this week.
Stuttgart will travel to face in-state rivals SC Freiburg on Saturday after the international break.
Arijon Ibrahimovic – 1. FC Heidenheim
Ibrahimovic started for Heidenheim in Leipzig as the home team looked to bounce back from the 6-0 drubbing that Bayern gave them in the Bundesliga opener. He had one shot — a header after a corner from close range that just went over the goal. He only attempted nine passes and completed just five of them. He was pulled off in the 58th minute, as Heidenheim was down 1-0. The hosts would add another late goal and win 2-0, leaving Heidenheim with zero points going into the international break.
Heidenheim will host Dortmund after the break.
Daniel Peretz – Hamburger SV
Peretz was on the bench as the backup keeper for HSV’s 2-0 loss at home to city rivals St. Pauli.
He was called into the Israel national team for their upcoming World Cup Qualifiers this weekend.
After the break, HSV will make their first return to the Allianz Arena since their Bundesliga return.
Armando Sieb – 1. FSV Mainz 05
Mainz hosted Rosenborg in the second leg of the Conference League Qualification down 2-1 from the first leg. Sieb was on the bench to start and saw Mainz go up 4-1 (5-3 on aggregate). He played just 19 minutes and only attempted — and completed — three passes, but did not contribute much else to the match. Mainz held on to the lead and qualified for the Group Stage of the Conference League.
Sieb also started on the bench for Mainz’ Bundesliga match in Wolfsburg. He came into the match down 1-0 in the 69th minute. He had a chance to equalize with a shot on goal in the 85th minute. He also hit the woodwork in the fifth minute of stoppage time. Luckily, Mainz earned and converted a penalty just a few minutes before Sieb’s big miss.
Mainz will host RB Leipzig after the break.
England – Premier League
João Palhinha is the only player on loan to the English Premier League.
João Palhinha – Tottenham
After a hot start, Tottenham stumbled at home against Bournemouth. Palhinha started but played just 54 minutes. He completed 85% of his passes, but did not get a shot off nor did he create a chance for his teammates to shoot. Tottenham fell 1-0 at home.
Palhinha was called into the Portugal National Team for their World Cup Qualifiers this week.

Bryan Zaragoza – Celta Vigo
Zaragoza was on the bench for Celta Vigo’s midweek clash against Real Bettis. He came into the match in the 72nd minute, with the match level at 1-1. He completed all nine of his passes and created a chance for his teammates to shoot. He also had a shot that was blocked inside the box. Despite his efforts, the match ended in a 1-1 draw.
Zaragoza started in Celta Vigo’s weekend match at home against Villareal. In the 62 minutes on the pitch, he recorded a shot on goal, but nothing much more. His team conceded the opener shortly before he was subbed off and it took a late stoppage time goal for Celta Vigo to earn their third straight draw.
Celta Viga will play their third straight home match after the break when they host Girona.
Switzerland – Super League
Lovro Zvonarek is the only player on loan from the first team to the Swiss Super League.
Lovro Zvonarek – Grasshopper
Zvonarek started in the midfield for Grasshopper and played the full 90 minutes. He had two shots on goal taken from way outside the box. He also attempted 11 passes into the final third to try to get the attack going. Grasshopper equalized in the 84th minute to earn a 1-1 draw at league leaders Thun.
Grasshopper will host Lausanne after the break.
Germany – 2. Bundesliga
There are two players from the first team on loan to the 2. Bundesliga: Maurice Krattenmacher and Tarek Buchman.
Maurice Krattenmacher – Hertha BSC
Krattenmacher started for Hertha BSC at home against Elversberg. He had one shot on goal in his 68 minutes on the pitch, but that was not enough to help his team find a result at home. They were down 2-0 when he was subbed off, but things got worse just a few minutes later when a Hertha player received a red card, making a comeback nearly impossible. The final score was 2-0 for the visitors.
Hertha will look for their first win with a trip to Aseko’s Hannover 96 after the break.
Tarek Buchman – 1. FC Nürnberg
The only team lower than Hertha in the 2. Bundesliga table is Buchman’s 1. FC Nürnberg. He was on the bench for their first point of the season — a scoreless home draw against Paderborn — but did not make it onto the pitch.
Nürnberg will be on the road to Scholl’s KSC after the break.
FC Bayern Munich II
There are seven players on loan from the second team.

There are two players on loan from the second team in the 2. Bundesliga: Noel Aseko and Paul Scholl.
Noel Aseko – Hannover 96
Aseko started for Hannover and played 61 minutes on the road against Holstein Kiel. He completed 93% of his passes, including a chance created for his teammates to shoot. He was subbed off in just after Hannover scored an equalizer. One of the subs that came on for him scored the winner just after coming on. Hannover stayed perfect in the league with a 2-1 road win.
Hannover hosts Krattenmacher and Hertha after the break.
Paul Scholl – Karlsruher SC
Scholl was on the bench for KSC’s scoreless draw away to Fortuna Düsseldorf, but did not make it onto the pitch.
Karlsruhe will host Buchman’s Nürnberg after the break.

Emmanuel was also on the bench to see his team draw 2-2 — but on the road — but he did not make it on the pitch either.
Kassel will host Sonnenhof Großaspach on Saturday.
Switzerland – Super League
Johnathan Asp Jensen is the only player from the second league on loan to the Swiss Super League.
Johnathan Asp Jensen – Grasshopper
Asp was in the starting lineup for Grasshopper on the road against Thun. He did not have a shot attempt, nor did he create any chances for his teammate to shoot. He also only completed about a third of his pass attempts. Asp was subbed off in the 72nd minute after his lackluster performance with his team down 1-0. Grasshopper pulled back a late goal to earn a 1-1 draw on the road.
Grasshopper hosts Lausanne after the break.

He recorded a blocked shot, four clearances, two interceptions, and four recoveries. With his help, Hartberg kept a shutout for 82 minutes before the visitors scored a winner and held on to take all three points with 1-0.
Hartberg will travel to face Reid after the international break.
