The Wisconsin Badgers got their QB1 for 2026, landing Old Dominion transfer Colton Joseph after hosting him on a visit this weekend. Joseph announced his pledge on Saturday, adding to what has been a huge
weekend of commitments for the program.
With QB1 in the fold, let’s take a quick dive into who Joseph is as a player and what he’s accomplished so far in his first few years of college football with 10 things to know.
1. Was just named the Sun Belt Conference Offensive Player of the Year.
2. Ran for 1,007 yards and 13 touchdowns this past season for Old Dominion.
3. Threw a 98-yard touchdown this past fall at James Madison, a College Football Playoff team, and finished the game with 209 passing yards, three touchdowns, and two interceptions.
4. His QBR of 69.2 ranked No. 39 nationally in 2025.
5. Tossed 41 touchdowns with 4,150 passing yards, and ran for an additional 508 yards and 5 touchdowns as a senior at Newport Harbor High School in Newport Beach, California.
6. In high school, he held football offers from Old Dominion, Air Force, Army, Navy, Portland State, and Adams State.
7. Redshirted his freshman year at Old Dominion in 2023.
8. Finished with 34 total touchdowns in 2025 (21 passing, 13 rushing).
9. Had two rushing touchdowns and 179 yards on the ground (along with three interceptions) in a 27-14 loss at No. 1 Indiana in the 2025 opener.
10. Will have two years of college eligibility remaining after he transfers.
