The Miami Dolphins added defensive lineman Fatorma Mulbah to the roster on Wednesday, according to his agent Brett Tessler. The move comes a day after rookie defensive tackle Rene Konga suffered a serious injury. The specifics of the injury were not released, but head coach Jeff Hafley left no doubt that it would be season-ending.
Hafley, after answering questions about injury status of some of the other players on the roster, added, “[Konga]’s the one [injury] that will be long term. He’ll be out for
the season…But Konga will be done for the year, and that’s unfortunate because he’s a young guy who was working really hard and he’ll have to view this as a redshirt year.”
Konga joined the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent this year. He started his college career at Rutgers before transferring to Louisville for the last two seasons. During the 2025 season, he recorded 29 tackles, 1.5 sacks, and six passes defensed in 12 games for Louisville; he was named Second-Team All-ACC after the season. The Dolphins have a lot of depth at defensive tackle, but Konga could have been fighting for a developmental spot on the roster or practice squad.
Mulbah originally entered the league last year as an undrafted free agent out of West Virginia, signing with the New York Jets. He was cut by the team, but then returned to their practice squad in October before being released again in January. He spent the start of his college career at Penn State.
