Two cool Brotherhood notes: first, former Duke great Johnny Dawkins got an extension from Central Florida. If you remember, when UCF joined the Big 12, Dawkins was widely seen as being on the hot seat. In his first season in the new league, Dawkins went 17-16. Since then, he’s gone 20-17 and 21-12 and made the NCAA Tournament last year.
And in another story, former Blue Devil forward Ryan Kelly has announced his retirement from the game. He’s spent the last eight years playing in Japan, which must
have been a great experience. He’s had a good career in basketball, at least as a player, and who knows? He might stick around in the game in another capacity.
Anyway, it’s good news for both former Devils.
