Coaching experience:
He’s been an NFL coach since 2009, most of them specializing in special teams. He was the lead special teams coach for the 49ers under Raiders’ offensive coordinator Chip Kelly. He was also the Chargers’ special teams coach in 2021.
Playing career:
He was a safety at Hampton. He did not play in the NFL.
Why the Raiders would hire him:
He was already on the staff and he knows the program. His experience helps as well.
