TNA is in full hype mode for the television debut of Impact on AMC next week. In a quick video advertising the live show, TNA hinted at Je’Von Evans and more surprise appearances.
The teaser showed Tatum Paxley, Priscilla Kelly (aka Gigi Dolin), Je’Von Evans, and the NXT Outlaws.
Evans would receive the biggest buzz of that bunch.
He debuted in TNA at Bound For Glory for an epic match against Leon Slater for the X-Division Championship. The contest first ended in a 20-minute draw. Overtime was added, but DarkState played their sorry sack games to ruin the match without a winner. Since then, Evans and Slater have palled around on occasion in NXT. Evans was called up to WWE Raw this past Monday. WWE is touring Europe over the next few weeks, so we’ll see if that travel puts the kibosh on Evans in TNA on AMC.
Paxley and Kelly returning as a duo would be wild. They were loaned out by NXT for a handful of tag team matches in the Knockouts division. Circumstances are different now after WWE released Kelly.
The NXT Outlaws have been a steady fixture in recent TNA broadcasts, so their appearance on AMC wouldn’t be shocking. After all, Stacks is the reigning TNA international champion.
Heck, there is even rumored speculation that Chris Jericho wants to taste the Impact Zone. Imagine that! Or don’t.
Thursday night is going to be interesting. The advertised card so far includes:
- TNA World Championship: Frankie Kazarian (c) vs. Mike Santana
- X-Division Championship: Leon Slater (c) vs. Myron Reed
- Knockouts Tag Team Championship: The IInspiration (c) vs. Elegance Brand
- Matt Hardy, Jeff Hardy, & Elijah vs. Mustafa Ali & Great Hands
TNA Impact debuts live on AMC on January 15 at 9 pm ET.
What would be your reaction if Je’Von Evans returns to TNA? Who would you like to see as surprises in the Impact Zone?
