Maryland men’s soccer’s added another accolade to its dream 2025 season Tuesday. The Terps are ranked No. 2 in the weekly United Soccer Coaches top-25 poll, the highest they’ve been all year.
Maryland fans will remember what happened last time it rose to No. 2 in the poll, though. The Terps rose to No. 2 in late October 2024 before dropping their final four regular-season games and getting blown out by UCLA in their first Big Ten
Tournament game.
But this squad looks much more complete than that one. Maryland is 10-0-3 — the only undefeated power conference team in the country — through 13 games, the latest it’s been undefeated in a season since 2017. Head coach Sasho Cirovski’s squad looks primed for what could be the coach’s fourth championship run.
