terriers Preview:
- It hasn’t been that long since the Eagles met the terriers; the Eagles came away with the 4-1 win at Agganis a week and some ago, and Louka Cloutier & Dean Letourneau were named second and first stars of the night respectively.
- Cole Hutson still leads the terriers with 25 points, followed by Cole Eiserman who has 17.
- In net, Yegorov has a .902 save percentage.
- The terriers won against Northeastern in a shootout last Monday night to punch their ticket to the championship game. They beat Maine in OT on Friday in their in-between game.
What to Watch For:
- Honestly, I don’t know. The Eagles simply laid an egg on Friday night against Vermont, getting blown out on home ice 6-1 and taking a big hit to their NPI.
- The team was clearly distracted, and no one had a good game. There’s not really much to take away from it or much more I can say. It was a lackluster, uninspiring effort for a game that required them to stay focused and needed to end with them feeling confident. This is when you hope someone is able to rally the group with a short turnaround and remind them what they’re capable of – whether that’s the coaches or the captains or an unsung leader without a letter.
- There’s a lot of noise surrounding the Eagles after their performance against Vermont, despite their strong showing against Harvard – they’re going to have to completely block it out and get back on track.
