What is the story about?
As far as Husker hoops, we know what Fred has on his to-do list and that’s replace Rienk, Jamarques and Sammy – for starters. And as confirmed returning Braden Frager said, “We’re not rebuilding anymore, we are RELOADING.”
But what about the rest of the Big 10? 2025-26 was a damned successful season and not just for Michigan. What are other team’s people thinking about moving forward? Here are survey results from some of their respective fan bases:

- Of the four who talked portal needs, three agreed the top need is a big man. Three-point shooting is great, but the size of Michigan’s starting five did not go unnoticed.
- Wisconsin isn’t playing small-ball, by the way. Yes, they are leaning toward a wing and an all-purpose guard. Those are fair needs when you have five returning players who are 6’10” or taller with two over 7’.
- Yes, they’re all listed as forwards, but c’mon.
- Michigan fans are currently playing with house money and worrying about other things first.
- And does he qualify? He did begin his coaching career at Eastern Michigan, but he’s an Indiana graduate. Would Bo Schembechler truly consider him a Michigan man? (Relax, Weasels. I kid, I kid.)
- For Spartan fans, watching Michigan cut the nets down was, or would have been, galling. 40% said they watched the title game, but take the 35% who opted out of the final and add the 19% who’d had enough, and it appears a total of 54% chose not to add to their seething by watching the full victory, let alone the presentations and celebrations.
- And Ohio State stayed laser focused on their true love and showed absolute zero confidence in their hoops to accomplish big things anytime in the near future. 0%
And just for the heck of it, here’s one more pic of our
guys.😉
