It’s that time of year again, and I’m not talking about Christmas. Although, Christmas Day will officially be a week away by the time this article is published (hope that helps some of y’all out).
No, I’m
talking about Pro Bowl voting. The fan voting wrapped up on Monday, and several former Dawgs made the top 10, such as Matthew Stafford, Roquan Smith, James Cook, Tykee Smith, Javon Bullard, Brock Bowers, and more. The official rosters will be announced sometime in January, and Georgia will be well-represented at this year’s game in San Francisco.
One player whose name did not make the top 10 is Houston Texans’ cornerback Kamari Lassiter. The second year player has put together an impressive season with 77 tackles and four interceptions, including one on Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals. This was his second straight game snagging an interception, as he picked off Kansas City Chiefs’ quarterback Patrick Mahomes last Sunday.
Chicago Bears’ running back D’Andre Swift continued his solid 2025 with another great performance on Sunday. The original Philly Dawg rushed for 98 yards and two touchdowns in Chicago’s 31-3 victory over the Cleveland Browns. The Bears have improved to 10-4 on the season and look primed to make a deep playoff run.
Here are some other highlights from some Dawgs in the NFL:
- Roquan Smith, Malaki Starks, and John Jenkins combined for 23 tackles against Cincinnati on Sunday as the Ravens shut out the Bengals 24-0.
- A.D. Mitchell continues to find success in New York following his trade from Indianapolis. The wide receiver caught six passes for 58 yards and a touchdown. He was one of the few bright spots for the Jets as they went on to lose to the now 10-4 Jacksonville Jaguars.
- The Philadelphia Eagles got back on track Sunday with a 31-0 shutout over Brock Bowers and the Las Vegas Raiders. Nakobe Dean led the team with tackles, and Nolan Smith recorded a sack as they held the Raiders’ offense to just 75 total yards.
That’s all for this week. Tune in next time to hear more adventures of your favorite Dawgs in the NFL.
Go Dawgs!!!
