The Texas Rangers scored a run but the Minnesota Twins scored four runs.
The Rangers scored a run in their first at bat tonight. They did not score again for the rest of the evening.
Despite playing a Twins team that unloaded virtually their entire big league roster at the trade deadline — from which Texas itself took part in the pillaging — Minnesota enjoyed 19 opportunities to score via a hit while the Rangers had one.
The losing streak is now at eight.
Player of the Game: Joc Pederson was the player
who hit that leadoff home run because we’re in such a state that Joc Pederson is the leadoff hitter for the Texas Rangers.
Up Next: Jacob deGrom will make what is surely his final start of an otherwise successful full season. The Twins will counter with righty Taj Bradley. The penultimate game at The Shed this season is scheduled for a 7:05 pm CT first pitch on Wednesday night and you can watch it on the Rangers Sports Network.
