The Wisconsin Badgers lost their fifth straight game on Saturday, getting blown out by the Ohio State Buckeyes 34-0 at Camp Randall Stadium.
It was a tough game for the Badgers from the start, as Ohio State
scored on three of its first four possessions, while Wisconsin had five punts and an interception in the first half.
The Badgers struggled to move the ball offensively, totaling just 144 yards of offense, of which 50 came on the team’s final possession when the game was out of hand.
Defensively, Wisconsin was able to stop the run well enough, but it couldn’t contain quarterback Julian Sayin in the passing game. The redshirt freshman threw for a career-high 394 yards and four touchdowns on the day, as Ohio State was able to move the ball effectively and efficiently through the air.
After the game, head coach Luke Fickell spoke about the disappointment yet again, but praised players for stepping up, such as linebackers Christian Alliegro and Mason Posa.
