Hansi Flick finally has his full first team squad available for training in this preseason as Spain’s World Cup winners returned to Barcelona on Wednesday following their post-tournament vacations.
Lamine Yamal, Pedri, Pau Cubarsí and Dani Olmo arrived at the club’s headquarters in the morning for routine medical tests and both Cubarsí and Olmo already took to the training pitch to rejoin their teammates.
The only
player missing on Wednesday was Ferran Torres, who was given permission to stay home as he awaits the completion of his transfer to Paris Saint-Germain.
With Spain’s heroes now back in the fold after Jules Kounde had returned on Tuesday, Barça are now back in full strength to begin preparations for the La Liga debut away to Elche on August 23.
The Catalans will play a friendly against FC Basel in Switzerland on Sunday and the annual Joan Gamper Trophy against Al-Ahly of Egypt next Wednesday at Camp Nou, as Flick looks to get his team in the best shape possible for the season opener.
