AEW’s Mercedes Moné has the rare ability to illicit an almost equally passionate response from her supporters and her detractors. She doesn’t need to duplicate efforts, either. I consider myself a Mercedes fan, and sometimes she lays it on a little thick even for me. But I can’t knock the hustle. Wrestling’s biggest names have always sold their own legends, after all. I’d rather her be profiting off her work than a promoter. And while everyone’s feelings about Moné and her career are subjective, it’s hard to deny she’s put together a pretty impressive resumé —including numerous firsts and milestones.
Anyway, Boss or C.E.O., she’s always been a lightning rod. And the Moné Wear presser sent to wrestling outlets today (March 4) should draw as many takes as mentions of her texting service do:
