Matthieu Duclos delivered the goods in his official UFC debut earlier today (Sept. 5, 2026) at UFC Paris LIVE on Paramount+ from inside Accor Arena in Paris, France, as the French prospect scored a sneaky TKO (punches) finish over Brazilian slugger Luis Felipe Dias.
Dias, who was coming off a UFC debut knockout this past May, was a betting favorite for Saturday’s middleweight affair, but many believed Duclos’ size and striking would be enough to get past the Brazilian’s fiery offense. Duclos was going
to have to walk through fire to find a finish, but that’s exactly what happened in front of his home crowd.
The first few minutes of action was all Dias. Duclos scored some solid shots, but Dias clipped him with a short left hand that nearly sent him to the canvas. Dias followed up with hard kicks to the body and constant pressure along the cage. During one of Dias’ blitzes Duclos was able to backpedal and unleash a perfectly-placed counter left hook. Dias instantly fell to the canvas as Duclos rushed in for the finishing touches on a memorable UFC debut.
