Raw airs tonight (Aug. 3) with a live show emanating from Casey’s Center in Des Moines, Iowa. This is the first episode of Raw during the nine week build to Money in the Bank, which takes place on October 10.
There is only one man left in WWE who can stop Roman Reigns
World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns closed the book on his story with Seth Rollins last night at SummerSlam. The Tribal Chief has dominated WWE in 2026 since winning the Royal Rumble match, beating top stars like CM Punk, Jacob Fatu, and Rollins in PLE main events. This is the strongest position
Reigns has been in since his 1300+ day reign as champion ended at WrestleMania 40 in 2024.
The OTC is scheduled to be on Raw tonight. He’s also scheduled to be at the Money in the Bank PLE in October. With Punk, Fatu, and Rollins crossed off the list of WWE stars who might be able to take out Roman, who is left to challenge him at the next PLE?
I suppose LA Knight and Solo Sikoa could keep their alliance going and confront Reigns tonight after they worked together to defeat the rest of The Bloodline at SummerSlam. The only issue with that is we know Solo and LA don’t have a chance in hell to beat Roman once the bell rings in WWE, especially if Reigns changes his mind about letting the rest of The Bloodline interfere in his matches.
At this point there’s only one man in WWE who can stop Roman, and that’s clearly the undefeated Danhausen Oba Femi. The Ruler kicked Brock Lesnar’s ass once again at SummerSlam, this time getting the main event spot over Punk and Cody Rhodes. The Beast endorsed Oba as the future of WWE after their Hell in a Cell match was over, and WWE commentators referred to Oba as “The Next Big Thing.” Now that he’s beaten Brock twice and is also the King of the Ring, it doesn’t make sense for Femi to do anything other than chase the top champion in the company. That’s Roman Reigns.
However, I am very doubtful that WWE will book Reigns vs. Femi at Money in the Bank, because that’s a match that will probably be saved for WrestleMania. That means Reigns and Femi need some other wrestlers to feast on until WWE is ready to book them against each other.
Can WWE find a believable challenger for the Tribal Chief who isn’t named Oba Femi? Why would Oba do anything other than challenge Roman for his title next? Tune into Raw tonight to find out.

Big Cass should be returning to WWE tonight, based on the weekly teaser videos that have been airing on Raw saying as much. Will Big be a babyface or a heel? Which WWE star is he targeting first? Will Enzo Amore be coming along with him? Since the last time we’ve seen Cass in WWE, has he figured out a way to teach anybody else how to be seven foot tall?

– What consequences does Roman Reigns have in store for his lap dog Jacob Fatu and The Usos after they dropped the ball and lost to Solo Sikoa, LA Knight, and Royce Keys at SummerSlam?
– Liv Morgan finally defended her women’s world championship at SummerSlam with a victory over IYO SKY. Does Liv plan to go another 100+ days before she defends the belt again? Is Stephanie Vaquer ready to return to WWE and come back for her title?
– Is it time for Brock Lesnar to disappear from WWE again until the next huge paycheck for working Saudi Arabia? If so, does Paul Heyman go right back to managing The Vision, or does the Wise Man get some time off too?
– Speaking of Bron Breakker and Austin Theory, they are probably pissed off after not making the cut for SummerSlam. Do the world tag team champions plan to send any more babyfaces to the hospital after injuring Otis last week?
– Has the Judgment Day finally learned their lesson about staying away from Danhausen after he humiliated that little shithead Dominik Mysterio in a Human Monies on a Pole match at SummerSlam? Will Dirty Dom and JD McDonagh find a way to get revenge on Joe Hendry tonight after he played a pivotal role in the outcome of the Pole match?
– Chad Gable is the new Intercontinental champion. Do Ethan Page and Je’Von Evans cut to the front of the line for his first title defense after their respective wins last week over Rey Mysterio and Rusev?
– Now that Penta is no longer the IC champ, is he ready to reunite with his brother Rey Fenix as the Lucha Bros in time for AAA TripleMania 34 in September?
– Sol Ruca’s main roster run is off to a horrible start after she dropped the women’s Intercontinental championship to Raquel Rodriguez last week. Does Sol get a rematch for the belt ASAP, or is it time to go to the back of the line?
– Is Bayley ready to return to Raw to beat the shit out of Lyra Valkyria?
