Pittsburgh Steelers defensive tackle Derrick Harmon was carted to the locker room in the team’s Week 4 loss to the Cleveland Browns. When he came back out, he was in street clothes and a walking boot. And as was to be expected after seeing that, he is expected to miss some time, Per Ian Rapoport.
“DT Derrick Harmon, who was carted off on Thursday night with a foot injury, is expected to miss a few weeks, source said,” Rapoport reports on X. “IR would be a consideration for Harmon, though it’s not
definite. Either way, not a long-term injury.”
Rapoport adds that the Steelers may be without cornerback Jamel Dean for “a couple of weeks” as he continues to recover from an ankle injury. Dean was dealing with the injury ahead of Week 4, but left the game.
Not having Harmon will mean Sebastian Joseph-Day and Yahya Black will have to step up in their respective roles. They’ll host the Indianapolis Colts and their dangerous run game led by Jonathan Taylor in Week 5.
