Former Bayern Munich and FC Barcelona star Robert Lewandowski is headed to MLS after reportedly agreeing to a deal with the Chicago Fire.
After weeks of speculation and rumored visits, Lewandowski has made a decision to join the Fire per Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg:

Lewandowski could do some major damage in MLS, though getting the kind of service that he is accustomed to at places like Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich, and FC Barcelona could prove to be difficult. Long rumored to have a desire to play in the United States, most observers assumed that Lewandowski would land with the LAFC or the LA Galaxy because of his affinity for Los Angeles, but the Fire were able to woo him to the Windy City if the reports from Plettenberg and Romano are true.
