The Steelers are 3-2 heading into a Week 6 showdown with the 1-4 Buccaneers. If you like to place a few bets on the side to spice up your viewing experience, now’s a great time to check in with our friends over atFanDuel Sportsbook, with the game just a few days away.
Here are some of their offerings that caught my eye.
Steelers first drive result: Offensive Touchdown +380
The Steelers have scored a touchdown on the first drive of the game in two of the past three games. This all kicked in against the Bengals when Mike McCarthy made the call to change
up the right side of the offensive line, and to lean away from the zone-running schemes they were favoring during the first two weeks, and instead switch to a more man/duo heavy scheme. The Buccaneers are good at stopping the run, but their pass defense has been among the worst in the league, and the first drive of the game is often one where play callers like McCarthy come out looking strong since they are able to script the first series out before the defense has time to adjust. I like the Steelers to make it their third first-drive touchdown in four weeks, but if you’re less confident, FanDuel is offering a Field Goal attempt at +330, and a Punt at -105.
To score 2+ touchdowns: Jaylen Warren +750, Pat Freiermuth +3300
Warren has been on fire lately and is a player I expect to be featured heavily in this game, even if it’s more as a pass catcher due to Tampa Bay’s stout run defense. Likewise, Pat Freiermuth leads the team in touchdowns with four on the season. Both are players I expect to have favorable matchups in the passing game this week and who could be leaned on heavily in the red zone. If two touchdowns feels a bit rich for you, however, I do like picking a half in which Freiermuth could score a single touchdown. He’s listed at +600 whether you think he scores in the first half or second half, though I favor the second half.
One parlay involving Warren, Freiermuth, Bernard
If none of the previous options excite you, or you’re the type who likes to make your own odds, a parlay is a way to add even more intrigue. I’ve cooked up a four-leg parlay that might intrigue you:
- Jaylen Warren over 3.5 receptions (-114)
- Jaylen Warren over 91.5 rushing + receiving yards (-114)
- Germie Bernard to record a 10+ yard reception (-750)
- Pat Freiermuth anytime touchdown scorer (+310)
- Parlay odds: +1080
And there you have it. Those are my favorite prop bets for this week’s game. Are there any that you have your eyes on for this week?
