College Gameday, ESPN’s wildly popular college football pregame show, will head to the Pacific Northwest next Saturday for Indiana’s matchup with Oregon at Autzen Stadium in Eugene, Oregon.
Both the Hoosiers and Ducks are currently on a bye week, with Indiana coming off of a road win against Iowa and Oregon silencing the whiteout crowd at Penn State. Indiana sits at No. 8
nationally in the most recent AP top-25 poll while Oregon ranks in at No. 2.
This’ll be the Hoosiers’ third appearance on College Gameday under Curt Cignetti, currently in his second season leading the program. The show made a stop in Bloomington last season for Indiana’s game against Washington and was on site in South Bend for the first round College Football Playoff clash with Notre Dame.
It’s a clear statement opportunity. Should Indiana emerge victorious, it’d have a case as the best win in program history. A loss narrows the Hoosiers path to a playoff repeat.
One way or another, Indiana is playing in the biggest game of the week for the second time this season.
