Syracuse picked up a new commitment over the weekend as St. Joseph’s Prep CB Masiia Acrey committed to the Orange.
The 5’10” Acrey is rated a three star prospect. He had offers from a number of schools including Indiana, Boston College, Pitt, VIrginia Tech, North Carolina and NC State. Acrey was a teammate of incoming Syracuse defensive lineman Alex Haskell and St. Joseph’s Prep is also the alma mater of Kyle McCord so it seems like Fran Brown is setting up a little pipeline from the City of Brotherly
Love.
He is ranked as the 92nd best cornerback in the 2027 class by 247Sports and the 26th best player in Pennsylvania. Rivals has him listed as a three-star and as a top 100 corner in the class.
Acrey is the 12th commitment for Syracuse’s 2027 class, a class ranked 20th by 247 and 37th by Rivals. Here’s a look at him in action last season.
