The Sixers have signed Dillon Jones to an exhibit-10 contract, a source tells Liberty Ballers. Kyle Neubeck of PHLY was the first to report the news. Jones was the 26th overall pick back in 2024, selected by the Washington Wizards before being traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder on draft night. He made 54 appearances for the Thunder in his rookie season, playing 10 minutes a game averaging 2.5 points and 2.2 rebounds on 38% field goal shooting.
After being traded back to and waived by the Wizards,
he bounced around several G-League teams last season before signing a two-way deal with the New York Knicks in January. He made just seven appearances for the Knicks and only averaged five minutes a game per appearance. In 18 games for the Westchester Knicks he averaged 15.2 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 6.1 assists per game shooting 43% from the field and 38% from three.
Jones was a 32% three-point shooter in his four college seasons and hasn’t shot over 25% from deep in his limited NBA opportunities. He did though make a big shooting leap in the G-League, going 27.5% from three in his first season to 37% over the course of his second season with three teams.
This is the fourth exhibit-1o contract the Sixers have signed this offseason. Jones will join Tacko Fall, Jameer Nelson Jr., and Saint Thomas on the team’s training camp roster. It could be a sign of good fortune if Jones somehow is able to make the roster, as every team he’s made an NBA appearance for has gone on to win the Finals. It’s hard to argue with a 100% success rate.
