The NFL schedule release is just a couple of days away, with all of the international games being announced on Wednesday. While a wide variety of big-time games have either been announced or rumored, the Cleveland Browns have not been a part of any of those. There are a few things worth rooting for with the Browns schedule, including specific Week 1 opponents.
Part of the reason that Cleveland hasn’t been included in any high-profile games is that their schedule lacks many big-name opponents. It is also
why their schedule has been ranked as one of the easier ones. The Browns road schedule has only one really interesting game outside of the AFC North, when they face Baker Mayfield and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The rest of the road schedule, including the annual divisional matchups, is:
- Baltimore Ravens
- Cincinnati Bengals
- Pittsburgh Steelers
- Jacksonville Jaguars
- New Orleans Saints
- Tennessee Titans
- New York Giants
- New York Jets
There are good teams on that list, but the only other road game with some pizzazz might be the Giants in John Harbaugh’s first season as the head coach. AFC North games always bring a little extra punch as well.
What jumps out to you about the road schedule, besides the Mayfield/Bucs matchup?
