Bayern Munich could soon find itself in a battle to keep one of its most important attacking players, with Klara Bühl reportedly attracting interest from some of Europe’s biggest clubs.
Bühl’s contract situation has put her future firmly under the spotlight. The Germany international is entering the final year of her current Bayern agreement, and there is growing uncertainty over whether she will remain in Munich beyond next summer.
According to Bild, FC Barcelona is among the clubs that have already
shown interest in the 25-year-old winger. Several other European teams are reportedly monitoring the situation as well, including clubs from England.
That puts Bayern in an increasingly delicate position. Bühl has been with the club for six years and has developed into an important contributor on the attacking end. Losing her would leave Bayern without a player who has become an established part of both the club and Germany setups.
The bigger issue for Bayern is that time is becoming a factor. If Bühl ultimately decides against extending her contract, the club could face the prospect of losing her without receiving a transfer fee.
For now, there is no indication that Bühl has made a final decision regarding her future. Bayern will undoubtedly hope that her long-standing connection with the club, combined with her importance to the team, is enough to convince her to stay.
With Barcelona and clubs in England reportedly interested, however, Bayern may have plenty of competition for her signature.
